Dr. Rudolph Bilal Ware, Professor of History, University of California Santa Barbara, specializes in premodern West African history. His research interests include Islam, popular religious culture, and race. Author of The Walkin Quran, Islam in West Africa & Jihad of the Pen: The Sufi Literature of West Africa
Pamela Price
Pamela Price is a nationally recognized pioneer in employment discrimination and civil rights cases. Price regularly wins difficult cases of sexual harassment, racial harassment and discrimination in federal and state courts. Her legal advocacy for women stems from her own experience as a Survivor of sexual harassment, sexual assault and domestic violence.
Dr. Jody Armour
Jody David Armour is the Roy P. Crocker Professor of Law at the University of Southern California. He has been a member of the faculty since 1995. Armour’s expertise ranges from personal injury claims to claims about the relationship between racial justice, criminal justice, and the rule of law. Armour studies the intersection of race and legal decision making as well as torts and tort reform movements. Author of N*gga Theory: Race, Language, Unequal Justice, and the Law and Negrophobia and Reasonable Racism: The Hidden Costs of Being Black in America
Chesa Boudin
SF DA Chesa Boudin was elected in November 2019 on a progressive platform centered on ending mass incarceration; protecting crime survivors; and addressing the root causes of crime. DA Boudin personally understands the impact of incarceration; both of his parents were incarcerated throughout his childhood and his father is still in prison.
