Our Revolution East Bay is the premier political organization based out of Alameda and Contra Costa counties. As our name implies, we're also a local chapter of Bernie Sanders's Our Revolution. We have a proven, dedicated focus to electing progressive candidates, passing progressive ballot measures, and more!
We grew out of a group called Berkeley for Bernie in the 2016 presidential primary. We started as a group of active Bernie Sanders volunteers that continued working after the primary for progressive causes. Berkeley For Bernie remained very active in local Berkeley elections, canvassing and phone-banking for mayor and city council candidates as well as for progressive ballot measures. Almost all of the candidates and ballot measures we worked for that November won!
In 2021, Our Revolution Contra Costa merged into Our Revolution East Bay to form a stronger, unified Our Revolution East Bay.
Since then, we've continued organizing to elect progressive candidates up and down the ballot, pass progressive ballot measures, reform and take over the Democratic Party, and more! Viva la revolución!
